The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery prides itself on having a grand and impressive infrastructure for the undergraduate training program, patient care, and various research activities in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the latest equipment, materials, and resources. This specialty of dentistry deals with the diagnosis, surgical, and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions.”
Vision:
We aspire to have a department that contributes maximally to the overall growth and development of the College of Dentistry to establish itself as a distinguished center for undergraduate and graduate studies and research, both nationally and internationally.
Mission:
of the OMS department is to train the students with advanced teaching resources and techniques to acquire the standard skills related to the diagnosis and surgical management of oral and maxillofacial diseases and to conduct scientific research in the field of oral and maxillofacial discipline, which helps in providing quality oral health care services to patients in Saudi society.
Objectives:
- To train our dental students in oral and maxillofacial surgical disciplines to national and international standards with a structured evaluation and assessment system for student performance and competencies.
- To carry out research in oral and maxillofacial surgical disciplines, prioritizing needs of the Saudi society
- To deliver standard and specialized oral and maxillofacial surgical services to our community.
