About Department
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) is dedicated to the surgical treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. The department provides a comprehensive curriculum integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills in oral surgery, trauma, pathology, and implantology.
Objectives
- To provide high-quality education and training in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- To conduct advanced research in surgical techniques and innovations.
- To deliver exceptional patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- To enhance students' clinical skills and knowledge for evidence-based practice.

The course will cover all topics related to applied anatomy and local anesthesia with its armamentarium and technique, as well as its complications and how to manage them. |
| 1 | Oral Surgery | Oral surgery is a division of oral and maxillofacial surgery that focuses particularly on the surgical treatment of oral issues in patients. This can include tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, impacted canine exposure, and dental implants. This division makes the foundation for clinical courses. |
| 2 | Oral & Maxillofacial surgery | Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgical specialty focusing on reconstructive surgery of the face, facial trauma surgery, the oral cavity, head and neck, mouth, and jaws, as well as facial cosmetic surgery/facial plastic surgery, including cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. |
