About Department
The Department of Restorative Dental Sciences imparts the basic knowledge and contemporary aspects of Operative Dentistry, Endodontics, and Dental Materials Sciences. It helps students develop relevant skills for diagnosing and treating defective teeth, starting with pre-clinical training through clinical application. The department also provides quality treatment for patients and conducts scientific research under the meticulous supervision of faculty members. Additionally, the department contributes to teaching postgraduate students participating in the Saudi Specialty Certificate programs (Saudi Board).
Objectives
- Provide students with an in-depth intellectual and technical understanding of restorative dental care.
- Encourage students to provide holistic dental care, considering each patient’s culture, medical condition, social life, and dental health.
- Emphasize excellence and integrity in self-evaluation.
- Promote lifelong learning for successful dental practice.
- Educate students to prioritize ethical considerations in dentistry.
