About Department
The Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Sciences offers a complete range of specialty services, including dental management for children and orthodontic treatment needs. Pediatric dentistry is an age-defined specialty that provides primary and comprehensive, preventive, and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special healthcare needs. Orthodontics includes assessment, diagnosis, and therapy related to the growth and development of the teeth and mandible, utilizing innovative treatment approaches and orthodontic ideologies.
Objectives
- To produce general dentists and specialists who fulfill national requirements.
- To establish the college as a major center for advanced oral health research.
- To promote an effective and broad-based community oral health program.
- To provide comprehensive, high-quality dental care in the region.
